'Daughter of the Sun' is Awkward Confidence's latest EP release. This EP is about finding oneself as a African, neurodiverse, woman and humanitarian in a world where there are many obstacles that directly affect a person with these characteristics.
Track 01- I'm The Same
This song is about being a Ugandan diaspora born in London, England. Knowing who I am, having faith in where I am headed and is thankful for the past as it was the biggest teacher. Having confidence in oneself is where there is roundedness.
Track 03- Standards (Open up your Iris)
This song is about socio-economic problems we have as a society. Those we have trusted have been taking advanatge of those less fortunate. This song also highlights how we are all truly connected as a world because we somehow are vibrationally connected to the suffering of others. This song reminds and empowers others to open up their eyes and remember your worth and move accordingly.
Track 02- Rebirth (Feminine Rage)
This song is about the struggles of being a woman in a patriarchal society. This song give birth to a new world order, where women can simply just be. Its the closure for women to release all burdens and exceptions, the emotional shackles that hinder us from thriving.
Track 04 - Alignment (222/God's plan)
This song is about feeling aligned. Everything that had already taken place was meant to. It was needed for growth, for learning and for ultimate serenity. Every choice made led me to this exact moment. Had I have taken a different path, this would affect my progeny, my marriage, my sexuality, my philosophical beliefs and more importantly, who I am.
